Spirited Nature & Traces of Light
Filmed in both Tokyo Japan, and Santa Cruz California, this story follows two artists collaborating across the Pacific with two very different styles, combining fine art and digital sculpture. Directed by Nik Kleverov and Produced by Leslie Lucey, premiering at the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center - JACCC in Los Angeles, California during an exhibit showcasing the artists final works, hosted by La Stella Gallery. The film was also screened at the Canberra Short Film Festival in Australia.
BEYOND BLUE
"Beyond Blue" is a short documentary film capturing Barbara’s story and the challenges she faced since her diagnosis with a rare, chronic blood cancer, polycythemia vera (PV), more than 20 years ago. The film reveals the hidden struggles that Barbara endures after her PV transformed into myelofibrosis (MF) and she underwent a stem cell transplantation. Through it all, Barbara has learned that you are more than your disease.
"Beyond Blue" is the first in a series of short documentary films directed by Cynthia Wade, an Academy Award®-winning filmmaker in the documentary short subject category, who has teamed up with Incyte to bring widespread attention to myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) and inspire those impacted to be their own health advocates.
